Adventures in Business School: Evan 6 months

How is it possible that my baby boy is half of a year old? Time, please slow down!!! This month has been big for Evan. At the beginning of October we made the trip home to Alabama and it took us 12 hrs. He did much better in the car because he could see Grey back there with him this time. Daddy couldn't go home because of school so it was just Grey, Evan, and Momma. A few people commented how brave I was to do such a long road trip with 2 little ones alone, but I think I am probably just a little crazy is all:) Both boys were pretty good and it was really nice to see family for a few days! Evan got his first tooth the day after we got to Alabama on Oct. 5. I could not believe it because Grey didn't get his first tooth till around 9 1/2 months. Evan also got his second bottom tooth at around 5 1/2 months. Evan just continues to remind me not to compare him to his brother :). Luckily he was not too fussy while teething.

Evan also started scooting himself toward toys he wanted while on his tummy while we were in Decatur. Once we got back to VA he started kind of rocking on all fours so I am sure it won't be too long before he can get wherever he wants to go...uh oh! I am going to have my hands sooo full!!

Evan got to try some food this month. He loves to knaw on the spoon and I think he likes the taste of the food (banana and avocado, he hated rice cereal), but he has not really caught on about the whole eating the food and swallowing from a spoon. We will keep trying though:)

I love watching the relationship between Evan and Grey develop. Grey is so so sweet to Evan and talks to him all the time and wants to show him his toys and tickle him. Evan just stares and Grey in amazement and belly laughs when he tries to tickle him. I am not naive and I know there are going to be some major brawls in our future, but for now I am enjoying the sweetness of brotherly love!
