Wow! This has been a big month! For starters, we moved to Virginia at the beginning of August and have slowly been settling into our new house and learning about our new town of Charlottesville. You did not like the car ride here at all and what should have taken us 9 hours took us 13 hours and 11 stops. You screamed most of the way and I might have cried a little bit too. I was driving by myself and felt so helpless when you were crying (hence, the 11 stops), but didn't have much other choice than to let you cry a little. I am hoping you grow out of this not liking the car phase soon!
Since being in Charlottesville you have really started turning into more of a baby and not just an infant that only eats and sleeps. This month you have really enjoyed being in a bouncy seat and watching me do whatever it is that I am doing (usually something for Grey). I'm not sure if you like watching me or Grey though. You always light up when Grey talks to you. He is a great big brother and is so helpful and loving toward you (most of the time). When you cry he makes sure I know and when you wake up from a nap he loves to go with me to get you up and bursts in the room yelling "Hey Buddy!".
Your head has gotten really strong and you hold it up really well even though it is still kind of wobbly at times. You also laugh now and it cracks me up. It is just a little belly laugh and a single "ha", but it makes my day! You are also putting EVERYTHING in your mouth. You have discovered your hands and reach for things I put in front of you and they go straight to your mouth. You drool a lot!
You can roll from your tummy to your back and do it all the time when I put you down for a nap. You hate sleeping on your back so you always get fussy when you roll over, but you just keep doing it. You also love to play with your paci and take it out of your mouth and then can't figure out how to put it back in and get upset. You are not the best napper in the world, but you sleep pretty well at night once you finally get to sleep. We are still working on some sort of nap schedule, but you will usually take a pretty good nap from like 8:30-10 or 10:30 and then another good nap in the afternoon with 30-45 minute naps in between. You will not nap at all if we are out and about or go somewhere, except an occasional 10 min. cat nap in your car seat if things get quiet. You are way to interested in all that is going on around you and just take it all in with a quick smile for anyone who will talk to you.
You are eating every 3 hours, but can go more sometimes. You wake up usually about 1 time a night to eat after your dream feed at 10:30 or 11.
You are such a sweet little boy and so good at just tagging along with us wherever we take you. You are the perfect little addition to our family and we are more in love with you everyday.
